2012 Lamborghini Gallardo

2012 Lamborghini Gallardo LP560-4 Spyder.

Arancio Borealis | Black Leather | 5.2L Naturally Aspirated V10 | AWD.

Few cars capture the theatre of Lamborghini quite like the Gallardo LP560-4 Spyder. Finished in spectacular Arancio Borealis over a Black leather interior, this 2012 example is quintessential Lamborghini — low, wide, dramatic and powered by one of the great naturally aspirated engines.

At its heart sits Lamborghini’s magnificent 5.2-litre V10, producing 412kW and 540Nm, driving all four wheels through Lamborghini’s automated transmission. With the roof lowered and that V10 behind you, the LP560-4 delivers an experience that modern turbocharged supercars simply cannot replicate.

The LP560-4 represented a significant evolution of the Gallardo, bringing a more powerful direct-injection V10, sharper styling and improved chassis dynamics while retaining the analogue character that made the Gallardo such an important Lamborghini, and then there is the specification.

Arancio Borealis is exactly the sort of colour a Lamborghini deserves. Combined with the black leather cabin and the roof down, it gives this Spyder enormous presence without needing any introduction.

The Gallardo also occupies a particularly interesting place in Lamborghini history: compact by modern supercar standards, naturally aspirated, wonderfully mechanical and dominated by that extraordinary V10 soundtrack, this is a beautifully specified example of an increasingly celebrated modern Lamborghini.
